Tributes to woman killed in freak accident in Milnathort
Tributes have been paid today to a woman who died after being hit by a car driven by her husband in a freak accident in Kinross-shire.
The woman, who has been named locally as Kim Clark, 46, is understood to have suffered horrific crush injuries following the collision with the vehicle at 1pm on Tuesday in a workyard off South Street, Milnathort.
Husband Stephen, 47, is believed to have been driving the vehicle which hit his wife. She died at the scene.
A statement from Restoration & Renovation Scotland Ltd, a building firm based in Moss Road, of South Street, said: “Due to sudden family bereavement. The office will be closed for the rest of the week.”
A vehicle was covered in tarpaulin by police in the yard during Tuesday’s investigation.
Family and friends of Mrs Clark have paid tribute to her.
Vicky Grosset, of Kelty, posted on Facebook: “I can’t believe what’s happening to us. My cousin was killed in a freak accident.
“We were together at mum’s funeral and she’s gone.”
And friend Shannon McGurk posted: “Sleep tight beautiful lady – you were one in a million.”
Meanwhile, Nicole Naughton added: “She was always so happy, never walked past without stopping to talk.”
A police spokesperson said inquiries were continuing.
“Anyone with information on this incident should contact Police Scotland by phoning 101.”
