A Formula 1 Magyar Nagydíj 2019 versenyhétvége idejére az egyénileg, gépjárművel történő utazás mellett alternatív közlekedési lehetőségre hívja fel a figyelmet a rendőrség.
A 2019. augusztus 1.

Important traffic changes in the vicinity of the Hungarian Grand Prix.
The Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix is taking place at the Hungaroring circuit in Mogyoród between 1stand 4th August 2019. The Pest County Police will be responsible for the maintenance of public order at the event, the number of officers taking part being similar to that in previous years.
The Hungarian Police will be assisted by officers of the Slovakian, Austrian, Roumanian, and Polish Police. First and foremost, their task is to help resolve any problems foreign fans may have, to make orientation easier for them, and to check their documents and vehicles. In our experience, fans are glad to see officers of their own national police forces and are confident in approaching them.
As a consequence of the great number of domestic and foreign visitors coming to this sports event, the traffic in and around Mogyoród will increase significantly. For this reason, we ask residents of Mogyoród and Kerepes to avoid using their vehicles if possible, and to have even more patience and tolerance than usual if they must travel on the days affected by the race.
Stopping will be prohibited on the roads around the circuit and on those leading there on all days of the race, i.e. from Thursday morning until Monday morning.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed by the police, and will only be returned to their owners once the fixed penalty and cost of removal have been paid.
There are various alternative approach routes to the racetrack other than the M3 motorway, and these are:
Budapest – M0 ringroad – motorway M31 – main route No. 3 Budapest, then Mogyoród or Kerepes (main route no. 3 within the town of Kerepes, having reached the junction with traffic lights at marker post 21km + 425 metres take the turning in the direction of Hungaroring racetrack).
Budapest – M0 ringroad – main route No. 3 (main route no. 3 within the town of Kerepes, having reached the junction with traffic lights at marker post 21km + 425 metres take the turning in the direction of Hungaroring racetrack).
Budapest – Fót – Mogyoród
Budapest – M3 motorway – newly constructed exit at 19km marker post
Nyíregyháza – M3 motorway – M31 motorway – main route no. 3 in the direction of either Mogyoród or Kerepes (main route no. 3 within the town of Kerepes, having reached the junction with traffic lights at marker post 21km + 425 metres take the turning in the direction of Hungaroring racetrack).
Nyíregyháza – M3 motorway – Mogyoród
Hatvan – main route no. 3 – in the direction of either Mogyoród or Kerepes (main route no. 3 within the town of Kerepes, having reached the junction with traffic lights at marker post 21km + 425 metres take the turning in the direction of Hungaroring racetrack).
Nyíregyháza – M3 motorway – exit at 19km marker post
During the event, the following major changes in traffic order can be expected:
o On József Attila Street in Szilasliget, two-way traffic will be in effect up to main route no. 3.
o Two-way traffic will also be in effect in Gödöllői Street and Dózsa György Street in Mogyoród (depending on the intensity of traffic), however, in the direction from Mázsa Square to Dózsa György Street, during the morning hours, vehicles may only travel in the direction of the racetrack and in the afternoon only in an outwardly direction from the racetrack. Streets adjoining the above-mentioned streets are not affected by any temporary traffic regulations.
o On the road between Kerek tó and Hungaroring main entrance, and thereafter Gate no. 7, there will be one-way traffic in effect in the morning towards the main entrance, and in the opposite direction in the afternoon (towards Kerek tó).
o From the direction of the newly contstructed exit on the M3 (19km marker post), traffic towards Kerek tó will be limited to one-way. On Sunday, after the race finishes, in order to reach Budapest, motorists approaching the above junction can choose either direction (Budapest or Nyíregyháza). When choosing the direction of Nyíregyháza, motorists should take the route M31 from the Gödöllő junction in the direction of Budapest, the use of which is toll-free.
o There will be two-way traffic between the camping site at the car cinema and the bus turning point of Szilasliget at all times, however, between Hungaroring main entrance and the bus turning point of Szilasliget, one-way traffic will be in effect from the main entrance (towards gates 7 and 6) towards Szilasliget.
o After the race, motorists can leave the Super Gold inner parking lot via gate No. 7 in the direction of Hungaroring main entrance (one-way traffic will be in effect), and through the same gate via Kerepes-Szilasliget, towards main route no. 3.
o There will be one-way traffic from Mogyoród HÉV (local railway) level crossing towards the race track as far as gate No. 2 during the course of the morning, and traffic will be one-way in the opposite direction in the afternoon.
o After the race, vehicles can travel from Gratis 1 parking lot (which is between gates 7 and 8) via Csömör towards Budapest.
On Sunday afternoon, after the race, two-way traffic will be in effect on the road section between Kerek tó and Templom tér. From this direction, motorists can approach both motorway M3 and Templom Square in Mogyoród.
There will be a free bus service to and from the racetrack, but public transport is also available. Information regarding the free bus service is available on the Hungaroring website: Hungaroring Formula 1 information.
This year, the box lane will be open to the public on the 1st of August between 4.15 p.m. and 6.15 p.m. Those arriving for this event can access the racetrack through gate No. 8. For further details, visit the website Hungaroring Formula 1 information.
The continuous flow of traffic will be assisted by the Pest County Police Headquarters with officers directing traffic and also with the use of direction signs. The Highway Maintenance Authority will also provide travel information for motorists on the approach routes via digital information screens and yellow-coloured, temporary directional signs.
We advise fans coming to Mogyoród to allow for delays in gaining entry when estimating travel times.
We recommend that vehicles be parked in the designated, free parking lots.
In order to prevent criminal offences being committed, vehicles should be left locked at all times, with no valuables, electronic devices or documents left visible in the passenger compartment.
There will be a temporary police station in operation near the racetrack between the 1st and the 4th of August (till Monday morning) the contact information of which will be published on the web site www.police.hu.
